First Post!

Friends, Romans, Countrymen –

As I sit here in complete denial of my other work, I am ruminating on what I am missing in my life. I’m your typical college student, currently drowning in my double major of Spanish and Political Science, and am additionally in a state of impermanence as I am about to take a semester (and hopefully a summer – details later) abroad. I’m always busy, always stressed, and (almost) always ready to throw down – the embodiment of a typical Middlebury student. Basically, I’m in the prime of my life, also known as the years of one’s in life when they are at the height of their narcissism. Thus the influx of blogging within my generation. As I am without a doubt a 20-something, and consider myself to be sufficiently interesting, intelligent, hilarious, and (I concede) reasonably self-obsessed, I’m following my peers into the blogophere.

I’ve never been much for keeping journals, with the exception of vacations in which my writing almost always devolved into a minute-by-minute account of what food I ate. Hopefully, in knowing I have an audience (of questionable existence) I can keep it short, sweet, and only occasionally food-related.

I hope my exercise in self-reflection proves to be enriching and fulfilling on my part and entertaining and informative on your part… so here we go.
